The only place in Clear Creek County where you can take a gold mine tour and then gold pan in a real flowing mountain creek! Most importantly, keep anything that you find! Many have found pieces of gold, rocks, minerals, and other gems!

Sluice rentals available! We provide a sluice box and a separate sluicing area for your prospecting party. (We ask if you dig any holes, that  you fill them back in with sediment!)

Q: What is it like to pan for gold?  
​​​A: After your tour (if one was taken) head to our gold panning area where our panning specialists will give a lesson that is 10-15 minutes long. Then pan for gold for as long as you would like!

Q: Is gold panning equipment provided?
A: Yes! We provide guest with their own gold pan for them to borrow while panning for gold. Already into gold panning? Bring your own equipment from home! If you find gold or other treasures that you want to take home, let our staff know! We have vials that are perfect for storing gold flakes and other treasures.

Q: Will I get wet? Do I need to bring water-proof clothes? 
A: It is not necessary to get wet while gold panning in the creek, so the choice is your if you want to! If you want you to get in the water, you can get your feet wet or bring waterproof shoes, sandals, or another set of shoes to change into!

Q: What do I do if I am bringing a large group for gold panning?
A: Reservations are required for groups of 10 people or more. Please book online or contact us!

Q: Can I pan for gold in the creek any time of year?
