Searching for gold adventure! Great family fun at the Phoenix mine, make sure to buy the food to feed the chipmunks-worth it!! Great tour leader and the mine is amazing! Family of 4 😊
The tour was fascinating and very interesting. The staff were all super friendly. The chipmunks and ground squirrels were plentiful and fat and adorable! The creak/stream was clear cool water and fun to pan for gold in. There is a picnic table near the stream. Clean porta potties were available. We did reserve a tour ahead of time. There were families with smaller children in our group and the tour guide did a great job of including them. Easy drive from downtown Denver. Pretty area.
