Preserving History - Al Packer Chapter #100, Colorado

Updated: Jul 17, 2023

It was one year ago, in June 2022, that the Al Packer Chapter #100 erected this exquisite granite plaque commemorating the Phoenix Gold Mine and the history that makes this Mine unique.

The Al Packer Chapter #100 is the Colorado chapter of The Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus (ECV). The ECV is a non-profit fraternal organization dedicated to the study and preservation of Western heritage. Their work is voluntary, and they raise the funds to commemorate historical sites. ECV is also involved in community projects and helps to raise money for educational scholarships.

Dave and Beckie, Owners of Phoenix Gold Mine, are truly grateful for this wonderful addition to the Mine. Many visitors from Colorado, the United States and internationally can appreciate the rich history of the gold mine.

Phoenix Gold Mine invites locals and vacationers alike to tour the Mine, pan for gold in the creek and (coming soon!) take a train ride! Look for upcoming information and announcements as we get closer to the grand opening of this new feature at the Phoenix Gold Mine!
