This page
has been designed to give you a little more information about where our
Raw Ore Specimens listed on Ebay come from and how they are handled. I
(Jo Petit) with the help of my husband and our children, go to Mosch
Mining
properties and hand select Specimens to offer on the auctions. Then
each
rock is brought back to my home and the kids and I wash them with dish
soap and water. We do not thoroughly clean them to the point they could
be nor do we use any chemicals or polishes. So once you receive your
Raw
Ore Specimen you may be amazed at how beautiful they can clean up to
be!
Hence the comment "And a little Colorado Dirt Too!" on the auction
pages.
For those of you that do not understand the statement "Raw Ore" I
would like to explain. This is not gold, silver or copper or any other
material that is solid through and through. This is the rock, just as
the
miners remove it. The minerals, gems or metals may be listed from the
Assay
(testing) of these veins or they may all be visible. Because
of
this I take great care in taking enough pictures of each specimen so
that
you know exactly what you are bidding on. I will be trying to get
at least 10 ebay auctions listed per month, so please check back often!
Each Auction Specimen is packaged in strong boxes and wrapped in bubble
wrap to prevent damage during shipping. Insurance is advised but not
required.
I am not, however, responsible for uninsured items once they have left
my hands. If shipping is done by UPS, my preferred method, $100 worth
of
insurance is included in the shipping price, additional insurance maybe
be purchased if needed. UPS is cheaper than USPS for heavy
packages.
But UPS can not deliver to a P. O. Box, it must be a physical address.
There are also many other rules for shipping UPS out of the
country,
please drop me a note for shipping inquiries before you bid and I will
look up your address to see how it will need to be shipped and the
cost.
Include your address and Ebay users name at least 24 hours before the
auction
is scheduled to end.
The mines we
are listing Raw Ore Specimens from at this time are:
The Phoenix Gold
Mine - Containing the Phoenix Vein and the Resurrection Vein
The Little Albert
Mine Level 5 - Containing the Comstock Vein
More Info can
be found below
Coming Soon!
The Union Tunnel
with the entrance located on the Berthoud Claim and the Champion Dirt
mine
containing the Centurion Tunnel - Al has yet to name the veins! I will
update these pages to announce when these specimens become available.
See
The Coming Soon Page for more info.
Hopefully over
the winter I will have stock piled enough ore to offer specimens
from other Mosch Mining holdings in the Clear Creek County area. My
house
is already beginning to look like the Portal at one of the mines! If
you
have any specific queries, comments or have ended up at the Phoenix Web
site and personally have met Alvin Mosch (the owner), feel free to drop
us a line. I print or call Al with all his messages and will get back
to
you as soon as possible. I check email at least once daily on the
Phoenix
Web site, by 7 AM, central/mountain time, but that does not mean I can
find Al at that time! Please allow at least 24 hours prior to an
auction
ending if you need an answer before you bid. Thanks for Dropping
In!
